Background
Regina Ateb is a hardworking, vibrant, and resilient Pharmacy student in the University of Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria and a true global citizen. She is passionate about health promotion and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1-4. She has volunteered in organizations that supports the reduction of poverty, and established a foundation of her own that help street children, provide sanitary pads for young girls, and have sent a number of children back to school. Regina has plans to support millions of people to address the SDGs 1-4, improve the work in her NGO and boost her social impact towards the development of the United Nations’ Sustainable Goals.
Winning the Prestigious Princess Diana Award
Regina’s remarkable achievements earned her the prestigious Diana Award, a testament to her unwavering commitment to combating poverty, enhancing educational standards, and eradicating the stigma associated with inadequate menstrual hygiene in Southern Nigeria. Her overarching objective was to demonstrate that irrespective of one’s background, everyone possesses the potential to effect substantial change within their community.
