Reducing Waiting Times to See a Doctor

Reducing Waiting Times to See a Doctor

Department For International Development (DFID) UK funded Project on Resolving Discrete challenges in the delivery of public goods & services: Reducing waiting times to see a doctor by the Bureau of Public Service Reform and Ibadan School of Government and Public Policy

In a bid to resolve discrete challenges in the delivery of public goods and services, we were part of the team that conducted a pilot study to explore responses of patients to “Waiting Times to See a Doctor” in Secondary and Tertiary Health Institutions in four geopolitical zones in Nigeria. The report of the findings were presented to the Honourable Minister of Health and multiple stakeholders with recommendations for further national scale up and interventions aimed at reducing the waiting times of patients to see a doctor.
